WISHING ALL A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS CHINESE NEW YEAR :)

CNYE was reunion at the in laws with 4 different (unrelated) families. Funny how the tradition has evolved over the years. This was our first reunion dinner with people beyond my family of 6.

There were the usual visitations, the killer jam at the bridge, and daily dilemma of where to have our meals since all the shops are closed. It sucks to be so distant from all my relatives, making CNY really nothing but merely a 1 week holiday for dad, red packets, and new clothes. Heck, I don't even like bak kwa or those cloyingly sweet snacks to be excited enough over the food. Seriously, we're so distant, I haven't even gotten any photos of my relatives, I bet my grandparents don't know my name and all I've got are pictures of this lonely chicken because we had his companion for lunch, and he was kept in the least imaginable place ever. That's all. Day 3 and my family's going "So what are we gonna do tomorrow?" Well, not that I'm complaining since I love staying at home. It's just that.. I haven't been able to soak in the CNY vibe at all and find it ridiculous that people should mock at me for not going to Chinatown. Grr.

There was a passport scare which didn't involve me THIS time heh heh. I'm quite flabbergasted at how valuable the Singaporean red passport is. How sooo many people wants to hold one of them and be a Singaporean. Till the extend they don't even admit they're from their certain whatever country, and tell the whole world they're from Singapore instead. Boy am I glad to be true blue Singaporean LAH :)

I NEED MY WEDNESDAY FIX OF HAPPY PILLS AND POTIONS

Comparisons are easily done once you've had a taste of perfection. Like an apple hanging from a tree, I picked the ripest one - I still got the seed.
How do I get better once I've had the best?
